My story β€” how 13FLOW came to life

My name is Smail. Before launching 13FLOW, I was the one signing the invoice.

I had my own service business. I'd done everything "right": I'd paid an agency to build me a proper website. A nice one. Clean. Modern.

Except there were two things nobody had bothered to mention.

First: my site was invisible on Google. The only way clients found it was if I sent them the link myself β€” by text, by WhatsApp, hand to hand.

Second, and I only figured this out later: even when people did land on my site, nothing happened. The site was built to inform visitors β€” not to turn them into leads. No clear call to action, no real journey, no conversion logic. Visitors read the page, then closed the tab. End of story.

A website that doesn't bring in a single client on its own is just a €3,000 digital business card.

How many clients did I lose during those years? Impossible to count. But a lot.

When Covid froze my activity, I finally had time to understand what had really happened. One conversation changed everything: a mentor walked me through the dirty side of the digital agency world. The moonshot promises. The "showcase" sites sold at premium prices that never bring a single lead. The monthly retainers for "maintaining" a site that doesn't actually work for you.

I realised I hadn't been incompetent. I'd been played.

In 2023 I went out on my own as a French sole trader (Entreprise Individuelle). The goal: build the kind of offer I would have wanted someone to sell me. Not just a website. A complete system. A site that actually works for you, real Google visibility where your customers are looking, and a journey designed so every visitor becomes a potential lead. No fluff, no trap contracts, no pointless monthly fees.

In 2026, the business stepped up a level. I renamed it 13FLOW β€” a nod to Paris's 13th district, where I lived for several years. A neighbourhood of people who graft, build things, and figure things out. That's the spirit of the house.

Because 13FLOW isn't just another website builder. It's an agency that answers three questions every small business should ask: is my site visible where my customers are looking? Does it turn visitors into actual leads? Does it give my work the place it really deserves?

Why 13FLOW?

13FLOW was born from a single observation: nearly every local professional out there has a website that doesn't bring in a single client. Not because they're bad at what they do β€” quite the opposite, most of them are excellent. They were just poorly served by a web industry that sold them a "showcase site" back in 2015 and then walked away.

When we started, the question was simple: "Why should a plumber with 20 years of experience settle for 3 calls a month from Google when he could be getting 30?"

"A website isn't a thing you buy once. It's a tool that should be working for you, 24/7, every single day of the year."

The answer is 13FLOW: an agency that does this and only this. No international e-commerce platforms, no €40,000 corporate redesigns, no smoke-and-mirror projects. Only local professionals β€” tradespeople, shop owners, restaurateurs, real-estate agents, salons β€” who get a complete system: a fast site, an optimised Google profile, automation, and monthly follow-up.

We're deliberately a small team. That's how we stay reactive, know each client personally, and actually hit our deadlines. No junior project manager who'll get back to you in three weeks β€” you talk directly to someone who understands your trade.

We're based in Tourcoing. In-person meetings happen only within the metro area (Lille, Roubaix, Wattrelos, Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Marcq-en-BarΕ“ul, Croix, Mouvaux, Wasquehal, Wattignies, Hem, etc.).

Why the limit? Because we'd rather hit our deadlines than spend our days on the motorway. Simple rule: we travel where it's actually efficient.

For clients further away, everything happens by video or phone. Not a downgrade β€” actually the opposite: we share screens in real time, work faster, and keep costs lean.

Most of our clients have never met us in person β€” and that doesn't change a thing about the quality of what we deliver.

13FLOW operates as a French sole trader (Entreprise Individuelle), registered in France, based in Tourcoing (Hauts-de-France region). We are currently VAT-exempt under French Article 293B β€” meaning the price you see is the price you pay. No surprises on the invoice.

All contracts are signed electronically, our terms are accessible at any time, and we strictly comply with GDPR (client data stored in Europe, SSL encryption, no data ever resold).

Our main technical partners: Netlify (hosting), Cloudflare (DNS + performance), OVH / Ionos (domains and email), Stripe (payments). Solid, mostly European players, picked for long-term reliability.
